During your placement, you gain relevant practical experience and also discover our organisation and its professional approach from the inside. You play a full and active role in one of our teams, so that you learn more about the world of real estate and quickly boost your industry knowledge and skills.

For a year-long, in-depth introduction to a professional working environment in the world of real estate, consider the CBRE Traineeship programme. As a young talent, you will have the opportunity to work with people from different disciplines in our industry, to take training courses, to build your network and to develop personally and professionally. Everything you need for a flying start to your real estate career.

As a trainee at CBRE, you are part of a group of ambitious young professionals. Together, you receive a thorough induction into our organisation and sector. After completing your traineeship, you stay on with us as a junior real estate professional. That is an excellent prospect in itself, but the road to it is just as special.

During the CBRE Traineeship, you work in a business unit of your choice and also take various training courses. These range from a two-day basic programme at the Amsterdam School of Real Estate (ASRE) to a Time Management course. In addition, we organise various teambuilding events throughout the year.

CBRE is active worldwide and we want you to experience that, too. You therefore visit a CBRE office abroad during your traineeship. An unforgettable city trip with guided tours, presentations from our international colleagues and a variety of group activities.
Naturally, we also consider it important that you get to know your fellow trainees and other colleagues better in an informal atmosphere. So we organise social gatherings, dinners and sporting events for you throughout the year.

The CBRE Traineeship programme begins twice a year, on 1 March and 1 September. Would you like to join CBRE before that, or are you just too late? No problem: you are welcome all year round, and can take part in the next programme when it starts!

Young professionals

If you take a good look at CBRE, you will see that we have a lot of young people working for us. We truly believe in the energy and fresh ideas of youthful talent and are happy to train our own employees to become senior professionals.

As a junior newcomer to CBRE, you become a member of our Young Professional Programme. Every employee under the age of 30 and with the company for less than two years (other than those on the CBRE Traineeship programme) is automatically enrolled on this. In addition to informative and educational meetings, the programme offers you the opportunity to find out more, in an informal manner, about other business units, our integrated approach and your new colleagues. Everything you need for a flying start to your real estate career.

Business and pleasure go hand in hand in our Young Professional Programme. Not only do we organise inspiring talks by in-house and outside speakers on current topics in real estate, across departmental boundaries, but we also visit interesting projects and give you the chance to get to know your new colleagues through presentations by other Young Professionals. In February 2020, for instance, we took a city trip to Paris.


You already have extensive work experience, either in real estate or in another sector, but you are looking for more. More depth, more dynamism, more professional development or just more likeable colleagues. As a seasoned professional, you are also eager and you want to make the most of yourself and your career.
